طالب المدير الفني لمنتخب باراجواي جوستافو ألفارو المسؤولين في اللجان المنظمة على ملاعب مونديال 2026 أن ‌يعيدوا تقييم مواقع وضع اللوحات الإعلانية الموجودة على ‌جوانب الملعب.

جاء ذلك بعد اصطدام المهاجم ‌خوليو إنسيسو بواحدة منها خلف مرمى ⁠أستراليا خلال المباراة التي انتهت بالتعادل السلبي في وقت مبكر من اليوم (الجمعة).

لم يحالف الحظ إنسيسو خلال صراعه على الكرة مع أليساندرو سيركاتي مدافع أستراليا في الشوط الثاني على ملعب سان فرانسيسكو باي أريا، ونهض إنسيسو بحذر بعد اصطدامه باللوحة، وأكمل بقية ‌المباراة دون مشكلة.

وقال ⁠ألفارو في المؤتمر الصحفي الذي أعقب المباراة: أعتقد أنه ربما يكون من الأفضل توفير مساحة أكبر، بالنظر إلى الحماس الشديد، وأحيانا إذا فقد لاعب توازنه، فقد يسقط ويتعرض للإصابة، وهذه الأمور يمكن أن تحدث، لذلك ربما يتعين علينا التفكير في هذا الأمر وإعادة تقييمه.

The head coach of the Paraguay national team, Gustavo Alfaro, has urged the officials in the organizing committees for the 2026 World Cup to reassess the locations of the advertising boards positioned along the sides of the pitch.

This came after forward Julio Enciso collided with one of them behind the goal during the match that ended in a goalless draw earlier today (Friday).

Enciso was unfortunate during his struggle for the ball with Australia's defender Alessandro Circhetti in the second half at the San Francisco Bay Area stadium, and he cautiously got up after hitting the board, completing the rest of the match without issue.

Alfaro said in the press conference that followed the match: "I think it might be better to provide more space, considering the intense enthusiasm, and sometimes if a player loses their balance, they might fall and get injured, and these things can happen, so perhaps we need to think about this and reassess it."
