أغلقت لجنة الاتصالات الفيدرالية الأمريكية (FCC) الباب عملياً أمام دخول الأجيال الجديدة من «الأجهزة الروبوتية المتقدمة» أجنبية الصنع إلى الأسواق الأمريكية، بعدما صنّفتها كتهديد ينطوي على «مخاطر غير مقبولة» على أمن البلاد. الحظر الجديد لا يستهدف السيارات الذكية أو الطائرات المسيرة فحسب، بل يمتد ليشمل الروبوتات الشبيهة بالبشر (Humanoids)، والآلات رباعية الأرجل، وصولاً إلى بعض طرازات المكانس الروبوتية المنزلية.
ورغم أن القرار يستثني الأجهزة التي حصلت على تراخيص سابقة، ويُبقي باباً موارباً للشركات للتقدم بطلبات استثناء مشروطة، إلا أن ضربته القاضية تتجه مباشرة نحو المصنّعين الصينيين، وفي مقدمتهم عملاق الروبوتات «يونيتري» (Unitree). وتُعد هذه الشركات المورد الرئيسي للآلات منخفضة التكلفة التي تعتمد عليها المئات من الشركات الأمريكية الناشئة والمختبرات الأكاديمية لبناء أبحاثها وتطبيقاتها.
هذا القرار السيادي أحدث شرخاً وهزة عميقة داخل أروقة قطاع التكنولوجيا الأمريكي نفسه؛ ففي تصريحات لنخبة من الفاعلين في القطاع نقلها موقع «بيزنس إنسايدر»، رحبت شركات التصنيع المحلية بقرار الحظر، معتبرة إياه درعاً يحميها من شوكة المنافسة غير التكافؤية مع الشركات الصينية المدعومة سخياً من حكومة بكين.
في المقابل، يدق الباحثون ورواد الأعمال ناقوس الخطر؛ حارمين أنفسهم من الوصول إلى عتاد آلي بأسعار متناول اليد قد يدفع الولايات المتحدة للتراجع خطوات إلى الخلف في سباق «الروبوتات البشرية»، وهو المضمار الذي تتمدد فيه الصين بالفعل وتفرض هيمنتها عليه يوماً بعد يوم.
The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has practically closed the door to the entry of new generations of "advanced robotic devices" made abroad into American markets, classifying them as a threat that poses "unacceptable risks" to the country's security. The new ban targets not only smart cars and drones but also extends to humanoid robots, quadrupedal machines, and even some models of household robotic vacuums.
Although the decision exempts devices that have previously obtained licenses and leaves a small opening for companies to apply for conditional exemptions, its fatal blow is directed straight at Chinese manufacturers, foremost among them the robotics giant "Unitree." These companies are the main suppliers of low-cost machines that hundreds of American startups and academic labs rely on to build their research and applications.
This sovereign decision has created a rift and deep shock within the corridors of the American technology sector itself; in statements from a select group of industry players reported by "Business Insider," local manufacturing companies welcomed the ban, considering it a shield protecting them from the thorn of unfair competition with Chinese companies generously supported by the Beijing government.
In contrast, researchers and entrepreneurs are sounding the alarm; depriving themselves of access to affordable robotic hardware could push the United States several steps back in the race for "humanoid robots," a field in which China is already expanding and asserting its dominance day by day.
