أعلن المدرب الفرنسي هيرفي رينارد رحيله رسمياً عن تدريب منتخب تونس، بعد مهمة قصيرة في بطولة كأس العالم 2026.

وكتب رينارد عبر حسابه على موقع «إنستغرام»: «قبل مغادرتي، أودّ أن أعرب عن خالص امتناني للاتحاد التونسي لكرة القدم لإتاحة الفرصة لي للمشاركة في كأس العالم 2026، لقد كان شرفاً لي تمثيل تونس وخوض هذه التجربة التي لا تُنسى».

وأضاف: «أتمنى للمنتخب التونسي كل التوفيق في المستقبل، أنا على يقين بأنه سيواصل مسيرته الناجحة، وسيسعد الشعب التونسي بأكمله، وسيكتب فصولاً مشرقة في تاريخه».

وختم المدرب الفرنسي رسالته: «شكراً لكل من ساندني طوال هذه الرحلة، أتمنى لكم جميعاً التوفيق في المستقبل، انتهت رحلتي».

وكان الاتحاد التونسي لكرة القدم قد أعلن إقالة صبري لموشي عقب الهزيمة أمام السويد بنتيجة 5-1 في الجولة الافتتاحية من المونديال، وعين هيرفي رينارد بديلاً له، إلا أن منتخب تونس خسر في الجولتين الثانية والثالثة من دور المجموعات أمام اليابان وهولندا بنتيجتي 4-0 و3-1، ليودّع البطولة من دور المجموعات.

Renard wrote on his Instagram account: "Before I leave, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Tunisian Football Federation for giving me the opportunity to participate in the 2026 World Cup. It has been an honor for me to represent Tunisia and to experience this unforgettable journey."

He added: "I wish the Tunisian national team all the best in the future. I am confident that it will continue its successful path, bringing joy to the entire Tunisian people, and writing bright chapters in its history."

The French coach concluded his message: "Thank you to everyone who supported me throughout this journey. I wish you all success in the future; my journey has come to an end."

The Tunisian Football Federation had announced the dismissal of Sabri Lamouchi following the 5-1 defeat against Sweden in the opening round of the World Cup, appointing Hervé Renard as his replacement. However, the Tunisian national team lost in the second and third rounds of the group stage against Japan and the Netherlands with scores of 4-0 and 3-1, respectively, thus exiting the tournament from the group stage.
